Havant and Waterlooville FC Board of Directors are pleased to announce they have agreed a new three year contract with Manager, Paul Doswell.

The new contract will see Paul Doswell centred at the helm of the Club until 2023/2024. Speaking in an interview earlier today CEO Stuart Munro said, “We believe we’ve got the best Manager and Assistant Manager in the Conference South and the division above.

Paul’s record over the last 20 years speak for themselves, he’s had a great deal of success at Sutton United and we feel that he will bring success to this Club for many years to come through Paul’s management”.

The season before last saw Havant and Waterlooville FC finish 2nd in the National League South, only 3 points behind Wealdstone FC with 7 straight home wins and only 8 games left to play before the season was curtailed.

This season, there have been mixed results in the League, but Doswell produced a fantastic run in the Emirates FA Cup competition, that proved to be the life blood for the Club during one of the most challenging and difficult financial years ever faced.

Upon signing the new contract, Paul Doswell said, “I think it’s a very exciting period, clearly the last two years are disappointing because of the pandemic, we’ve not been able to achieve what I wanted. I’ve had great support from the board in terms of being able to sign the players I wanted, I’ve got a good relationship with the Board which is important, you’ve got to feel you have their backing.

In regard to the last two seasons, disappointment and but that’s a personal disappointment, I genuinely thought we were going win it, whether we would have or not is conjecture. I don’t think we were at our best in League this year, no one felt that more than myself, but we’re very confident in the players we’re talking to.”
