Havant and Waterlooville Football Club are deeply saddened to announce that Club President Maurie Hibberd has passed away following a short illness aged 98. 

Hibberd was a well known and well loved figure at Westleigh Park and as part of Waterlooville FC back in the 1990’s played a key role in the merger of the two Clubs. 

In later years he became President of the now Havant and Waterlooville Football Club and up until lockdown he travelled home and away to every game. 

He will be remembered as a gentleman, who’s warm charm came across to those who were fortunate enough to spend time in his company.

Everyone associated with the Club would like to send their condolences to his family and friends at this time. He will be deeply missed by all.
