Havant and Waterlooville Football Club will be paying their respects to long serving Club President Maurie Hibberd when his funeral takes place tomorrow. 

Hibberd, who passed away earlier this month, played a key role in the merger of the two clubs in 1998, and continued to follow the Hawks both at home and away matches. 

A much loved character, who was well respected by the local football community, Maurie was instrumental in the Hawks becoming the Club it is today. 

Our thoughts and prayers are with Maurie’s family and friends, he will be dearly missed by everyone at the Club and by all who knew him. 

The service will take place tomorrow at Oaks Crematorium before the wake hosted by Havant and Waterlooville Football Club at The Westleigh.
