Havant & Waterlooville will welcome Portsmouth to Westleigh Park on Saturday for the first preseason game at home for the Hawks. 

After rewarding trips on the road against Aylesbury Town and Bognor Regis Town, The Hawks will be looking forward to their biggest test in the build up to the 2019/20 season against the League One side. 

Paul Doswell will be extremely pleased with what he has seen from his Hawks side so far with two convincing wins on the bounce, only conceding one goal and scoring a strong five. Doswell will no doubt have the team working hard as they will look to stage a thrilling preseason victory. 

Pompey enjoyed a remarkable start to their preseason campaign with a staggering 11-0 win against University College Dublin on Wednesday evening. The League One side are gearing up to a vital season as they prepare for another push for a place in the Championship after narrowly losing out last campaign. 

Hawks and Kenyan international striker Jonah Ayunga will have his eyes on continuing his ret hot scoring form having netted two goals in each of the last two games. 

The powerful number 10 has impressed The Hawks with his impressive finishing alongside his powerful hold up play and the home crowd will be eager to see if he can deliver yet again against big opponents. 

It will no doubt be a very exciting game on Saturday with both sides looking to maintain their winning streaks, and Westleigh Park will be a great place to be on Saturday so make sure you get to the ground and catch all the action as it unfolds. 

Assistant manager Ian Baird is looking forward to welcoming Pompey on Saturday: “We are looking forward to playing against Pompey, they had a very good season last time all be it a little bit of a disappointing one at the end. They are a very, very good footballing side so we are looking forward to it. 

“We are definitely looking forward to it on Saturday, hopefully it’s a nice day, hopefully get a lot of people here and hopefully it’s a win, win for both sides. 

The preseason fixtures don’t stop there for the Hawks as Sutton United will make the trip to Westleigh Park for the second half of the season’s preparations.
