Havant and Waterlooville look to bounce back at the start of a frantic festive period when Hemel Hempstead Town visit the Draper Tools Community Stadium.

 

The Hawks will look set to react from Sunday’s FA Cup Second Round defeat to the hands of Marine. 

 

Up against them are the Tudors who come into the game having won two of their last three following a tricky start to the season.

 

Saturday’s 2-1 win over Tonbridge Angels included defender Jake Howells going in goal in stoppage time due to an injury picked up by Dean Snedker between the sticks. 

 

Lee Bircham is the new man in charge at Vauxhall Road after Sammy Moore departed the club over lockdown. 

 

The game will be the first of a trio of home games for Paul Doswell’s side before facing rearranged games against Chelmsford City and Slough Town at PO9. 

 

With the league now to concentrate their sights on, the Hawks will be looking to recover from six to seven games in hand already against teams at the top end of the table. 

 

This month will see as many as eight games crammed into the schedule with the FA Trophy also kicking off in the week leading up to Christmas. 

 

Such a backlog will be a test of fitness, but also provides opportunities with games coming thick and fast, managers across the country will be looking to rotate where fit.
