Havant & Waterlooville’s latest signing Joe Iaciofano has expressed his delight to join the club and his desire to help them push for big things in the coming seasons. 

The 21-year-old striker scored an incredible 17 goals in the National League South last campaign and is determined to succeed at Westleigh Park: “Everyone wants a promotion on their CV, obviously myself included. 

“The plan this year is very, very clear and simple. We want to win the league and hopefully we are getting in the right place to do that.” 

Iaciofano revealed that he was impressed by the ambition the club had going forward: “I had some very important talks with Dos, I love the project the club told me about and I am so excited to get started.” 

The striker also stated he cannot wait to play in front of a home crowd: “I just love the passion that they show and to have a fanbase like that with one or two thousand coming in a week is everything I need behind me. 

“I really feel like I want to give myself to the fans and perform for them and hopefully I can build a really strong relationship and we can get something special going. It seems like a great club for me.” 

Iaciofano added that he feels The Hawks and himself are a dream match: “The plan is there and I have just got to do my bit now and hopefully the club can really help me progress.” 

“The idea of the club and the progression of young players is to come in and use Havant as a platform to get yourself onto the next level and that sounds perfect for me. 

“Playing at a great level in a great team with great ambitions, it just goes hand in hand. It was almost a no brainer for me really.”
