The Hawks welcome 15th Braintree to the Draper Tools Community Stadium this weekend.

Havant & Waterlooville enter the match sitting three points from the playoff places following a disappointing away trip to Maidstone. Prior to the match, the Hawks were unbeaten in seven games and looking to continue their push to the playoffs.

That run came crashing down, when Maidstone took the lead inside one minute following an mishit clearance from Worner. Barham doubled his lead just minutes later and a penalty on the 30 minute mark meant the Stones went into the break three to the good. Barham secured his hat-trick a minute before the full-time whistle.

Braintree have climbed the table in recent weeks, with wins against Slough, Ebbsfleet, Chippenham and Hungerford sending them from relegation danger to mid table. They visit the Hawks following a home defeat to Hampton & Richmond Borough. Tyrell Miller-Rodney was the sole scorer in a narrow 1-0 victory for the Beavers.

Last time the two sides met, it was a successful away trip for the Hawks. A goal either side of the half-time whistle meant Tommy Wright’s brace was the decider back in November. One thing is certain, it is sure to be fantastic match with the Hawks hoping to bounce closer to the playoff places.
