The Hawks return to league action on Saturday as Concord Rangers visit the Draper Tools Community Stadium.Second place Hawks host the Beachboys off the back of a 2-0 away victory against Carshalton Athletic in the FA Cup to progress to the Fourth Round Qualifying. In terms of the National League South though, it was another 2-0 win last Tuesday night in Dorset against rock bottom Weymouth – second half goals from Wright and Roberts secured the points.It was a 1-1 draw last time out for Concord Rangers against unbeaten West Sussex side Worthing FC. D’Sean Theobalds’ second half strike levelled Pearce’s opener and the points were shared. Concord sit just a point away from the relegation zone in 20th and after an impressive start to the season, their form has since spiralled.In regards to team news, Paul Doswell will be expecting news on whether Jason Prior is available or not following his concussion against Weymouth. His ‘replacement’ Danny Wright then picked up a calf injury at the weekend and could miss four to six weeks. Long term injuries Magri, Wright and Rooney are all still a month or two away from returning. Passley missed last Saturday due to injury, and Clifford missed out due to suspension, so both are back and in contention to start.Last time we faced the Beachboys, it was a cold and disappointing afternoon on Canvey Island and the last weekend of the Hawks’ winless run. Goals from Kyei, Green and Williamson put the Hawks to bed, it was only Payne who could get on the scoresheet but his effort wasn’t enough to salvage anything.
