The Hawks are still looking for a much needed win as they enter a difficult test against Dartford in the National League South.

Paul Doswell’s revitalised side fell to a 1-0 defeat on Saturday against St Albans which extends their unbeaten run. There have been lots of ins and outs, with Manny Duku, Stefan Payne and Alfy Whittingham all being handed their first start. James Roberts has been loaned to Hampton and Richmond, and Nicky Bailey has also left the club.

A twelfth placed Hawks come up against a strong Dartford side who sit fourth and are unbeaten in their last 5 games. Steve King’s men will come to the Draper Tools Community Stadium full of confidence after seeing off Welling 4-2.

Alex Wall will have a chance to face his former team, he had a spell on loan for the Darts, scoring 6 in 11 games in 2014.

This will be the first time the Hawks come up against the Darts this season, the last time out was back in 2020 when Darren McQueen secured all three points with a second half brace. Ayunga’s opening goal wasn’t enough to get a home win.

As Paul Doswell has said previously, the run does not get any easier, with Concord, Ebbsfleet and Slough all in February.
