The Hawks take a trip to 3rd place Oxford City, and a win there, will keep our playoff hopes alive.

Last time out, the Hawks nicked a point in the 90th minute – Ruff’s deflected strike found its way into the back of the net to keep Chippenham Town at bay. Matt McClure’s opener inside six minutes stunned Westleigh Park into silence, but a rigid performance from the visitors and brilliant stops from Walker between the sticks meant the Hawks needed a bit of fortune to finally breakthrough for an equaliser. The points were shared.

Ross Jenkins’ Oxford City have been impressive all season and on Saturday their performance showed their class. They took a trip to Dover Athletic where Ajayi put the hosts in the lead, but the Hoops completed the comeback and hit Dover for five at Crabble. Humphrey-Ewers, Sanderson, McEachran, and a double from Lolos secured the points on the road.

In terms of team news, the Hawks have a near fully fit squad – just Sam Matthews and Ross Worner will be missing. Joe Newton’s hamstring injury troubled him on Saturday once again, so we will have to wait and see.

The last time we met Oxford, it was the Hawks’ first league defeat of the campaign. A tight home clash saw it goalless until the 90th minute, before Ashby scored a winner to sink our unbeaten run.
