Innocent, 23, made the switch to the Hawks from Eastbourne Borough in the Summer of 2023. Kai came through the academy set-up at EFL Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers where he played his trade up until July 2022. Kai gained his experience not only in the Academy of Queens Park Rangers, but also through loan spells at Stratford Town, Dartford and two periods at Eastbourne Borough before eventually signing for the Sports permanently. Kai made well over 50 appearances during his time in Sussex playing an integral role in the Eastbourne side that narrowly missed out on the National League South Play-Offs last season.
