Havant and Waterlooville Football Club can confirm that Midfielder Tom Mehew has departed to re-join Chippenham Town

Mehew, 22, joined the Hawks in Summer 2023 from fellow National League South side Chippenham Town. Tom came through the Youth Academy at Bristol Rovers before joining Chippenham permanently in 2022. During his time at Bristol Rovers, Mehew gained senior level experience on loan spells with Stratford Town, Bath City, Gloucester City, Swindon Supermarine and Chippenham Town before he eventually joined The Bluebirds on a permanent move from The Gas. While at Bristol Rovers, Tom made 4 First team appearances where he scored 2 in 3 in the EFL Trophy and made his League One debut as a substitute against Blackpool in 2020/21. The young midfielder joined Chippenham Town in July 2022 where he went on to make over 50 appearances for Chippenham including both games in their 21/22 Play-Off Campaign which eventually saw a defeat in Extra Time at the hands of Ebbsfleet United. Tom now departs the Westleigh Park in a move to re-join Chippenham Town.
