Havant and Waterlooville Football Club can confirm the signing of Ansu Janneh, following his departure from Dagenham and Redbridge.

The 6’3 midfielder had a spell on loan with Braintree Town last season, where he notched two goals in nine appearances.

Ansu has had stints with Walton Casuals, Lancing and Staines Town, before joining Dagenham & Redbridge in 2022 after impressing in a friendly.

The 24-year-old will join up with the Hawks for the 2023/24 season, and will wear the number six shirt.

Upon joining, he said: “One of the reasons I wanted to join this team is that I wanted a club which can let me express myself, but to help the team as well.

“If I can help the team by getting three points, getting wins and contributing with goals and assists then I’ll be more than happy.”

Jamie Collins has already bolstered his midfield ranks with the signing of Tom Mehew, as Ansu becomes the second signing of the summer.
