Havant & Waterlooville turn their eyes onto National League South action as Concord Rangers make the trip to Westleigh Park on Saturday.

The Hawks will be looking to put last weekends bitterly disappointing FA Cup defeat to Dulwich Hamlet behind them and climb up the table as currently sit 10 points a drift of Weymouth.

Paul Doswell’s side are in 5th position ahead of the 14th game of the season. The squad will go into the game brimming with confidence after a midweek thrashing of a young Portsmouth team in the Hampshire Senior Cup.

Our opponents this weekend will be looking to put their season back on track after losing their last four games in the division.

The Beach Boys currently are in 13th position but three points will be huge for them as it could take them up to 10th position.

Danny Scopes’ squad will be hungry for the three points as they will be hoping to put their poor form behind them and improve on their impressive 6th place finish in the league last campaign.

Doswell knows just how important getting three points at home is when it comes to the crunch end of the season: “We won’t achieve our goals if we aren’t winning league matches at home, whether that be Wednesday or Saturday.”

Following the impressive performance when his side faced Pompey, The Hawks boss gave an insight into the fitness of his players.

He reassured the fans that Dean Beckwith who played the full 90 minutes midweek is back to full fitness and is ready for selection this weekend.

Fan favourite Wes Fogden has received news that he will be back sooner than expected after his scan.  It is possible that the club captain will be back for the Slough Town game in under a month’s time.

The news regarding Benny Read wasn’t as good to hear Doswell confirmed he is out for six weeks.
