Havant & Waterlooville return to Westleigh Park for game week seven as they welcome Eastbourne Borough for some bank holiday football.

The Hawks will go into the game with their confidence sky high after keeping their unbeaten run alive emphatically against Tonbridge Angels as they walk away from the Longmead Stadium with a  3-1 victory.

The Westleigh Park faithful will be more than pleased with their team so far, becoming the only side to have not lost a game in the National League South this season.

The Sports sit in 17th place in the league after failing to win all but one of their six matchups this campaign will be hoping to get their season back on track on Monday afternoon.

Eastbourne who narrowly escaped relegation in the division last season after finishing in 18th will be hoping for a better campaign. They will have their eyes firmly fixed on causing an upset against The Hawks who have their eyes on the top of the table after moving up to 4th place on Saturday against The Angels.

The Hawks put on a stellar performance in their last outing against The Angels, with Nicky Bailey who was awarded the Man of The Match award for his performance also took the goal of the day with a pinpoint free kick with curled beautifully into the top corner.

Bailey will surely be the man the watch again on Monday as he continues to add impressive performances to his strong start to the season.

Paul Doswell had this to say about the game against the Sports: “I can’t imagine that they wouldn’t want to turn us over which I would want if I was them.

“It is still going to be another tough game, but it was important to get the three points today [Saturday]. Regardless of what they have done in their last two games they will come to us wanting to do well that’s for sure and we need to be as ready as we can be.”

It will be a great day at what should be a sunny Westleigh Park on Monday so why not enjoy the bank holiday with some great football. Get down to the ground and support the Hawks as they continue to soar up the table.
