Havant and Waterlooville Football Club and Clanfield Football Club are delighted to announce a 5-year extension to our ground share agreement.

This follows Clanfield’s impressive season which saw them gain promotion from the Hampshire Premier League to the Wessex Football League Division 1.

The successful partnership between the Clan and the Hawks has been ongoing since the 2020/21 season and will continue to the 2027/28 campaign.

Gary Pratt, General Manager of the Hawks, said: “When I joined three years ago, we were approached by Clanfield about a possible ground-share agreement. That relationship has flourished, I have always had a good affiliation with the club  even back from my refereeing days.

“It’s fantastic to see, what is a great community club, thrive with that promotion this season into step six with higher competitions to compete in such as the Hampshire Senior Cup. I think this is the first step of many more really good years.

“Personally, I am delighted Clanfield have agreed to a five year extension. We kept it open on the table and Clanfield got to name their length from one year to five, and they picked all five. That shows the ambition of the club to go up the football pyramid – it’s only a pleasure to help them along the way.

“We are here to help anyone we can.”

Lee Blakely, Clanfield First-Team Manager, said: “Westleigh Park has been top drawer. Everything from when we arrive, preparation for the game, the facilities – it gives us that feel that we are playing higher and we want to, as a club, get to that standard and keep pushing.

“Havant and Waterlooville FC and Gary have been excellent to us, they have helped us push the club on, and we want to keep pushing that relationship and help it get even stronger.”
