HWFC can confirm the signing of Stefan Payne from National League side, Chesterfield.

The 30-year-old returned to non-league last year following a successful career in the football league, with clubs including Barnsley, Shrewsbury Town, Bristol Rovers and Grimsby Town.

He has plenty of experience in non-league too, with his most prolific spell at Dover Athletic where he racked up 40 goals in 98 appearances.

He was also managed by Paul Doswell during his time at Sutton United.
