The Hawks host Braintree Town in the National League South, as we look to overturn our recent run of home form.

The Iron haven’t won in their last five matches, drawing 4 and losing one. Last time out, on New Year’s Day, they got a good point against 4th place Chelmsford. Blackwell opened the scoring for the Clarets before Clements levelled the scores. It took three minutes after the half-time whistle for Grant to put Chelmsford back in front but it was cancelled out by Reynolds and both sides went home with a point a piece.

The Hawks ran riot in Sussex when they faced the Boro. A dazzling first half display thanks to goals from Rooney, Prior and Ruff meant it was a comfortable stroll to the break. A quiet second half finished with substitute Charlie Walker nodding the hosts a consolation goal.

There will potentially be a new face in the lineup tomorrow, with Ben Shroll rejoining the Hawks on loan after a successful spell last season. No bodies will be back from injury for this fixture according to manager Paul Doswell, but fortunately, no knocks were picked up against Eastbourne. Danny Wright and Joash Nembhard is set to return to training next week.

The last time the two sides met, it was an early away day for the Hawks which was a solid point on the road. Jason Prior was shown red inside half an hour for a reaction to a challenge. James Roberts still sent the Hawks 1-0 up with a wonderful strike before Amantchi nicked a point for the hosts with 15 minutes to go.

This match could send the Hawks on another good run if they can overcome their recent home record.
