Havant & Waterlooville enter Easter Monday with the need for an important three points. Today’s match against Eastbourne will prove to be a tough test as the league’s second-most inform team visit the Draper Tools Community Stadium.

On Friday, the Hawks took a trip to the iconic Twerton Park and came home with a point. It was a game with just a handful of chances, James Roberts came close to converting a cross but the biggest chance of the game was Manny Duku’s 90th minute penalty which came crashing off the crossbar. However, thanks to results around the league going in the Hawks’ favour, this put the side up to 7th in the table by a point.

Eastbourne, as previously mentioned, have been in a fantastic run of form, unbeaten in eight and six of those, winning. They visit the Draper Tools Community Stadium following an Easter Monday clash against Welling United. It looked as if the Sports were going to cruise to victory after leading three to the good, but, it wasn’t to be. Welling’s survival hopes continued when they came back to level the scoring and the game finished 3-3.

If the Hawks can take all three points, I think the Paul Doswell and his team will be delighted with the action-packed weekend of football.
