The Hawks will take a short trip up the A3 when we visit Farnborough in Saturday’s Hampshire derby.

Last time out for the Hawks it was a pleasant 3-1 home win against Braintree Town, one which was needed after falling to three straight home defeats. Muhammadu Faal opened the scoring before a delightful free-kick from Benton levelled the scores at the break. Charlie Ruff nodded the Hawks ahead straight after the restart before an ambitious lob from Faal secured his brace and all three points.

Farnborough were rampant at the weekend when they visited the capital to face a struggling Dulwich Hamlet. It was 4-0 in the first half thanks to goals from Page, Norville-Williams and a brace from new man Mason Bloomfield who is taking the league by storm. Dulwich won the second half thanks to a late goal from Danny Mills but it was Farnborough to take the three points back to Hampshire.

The hosts haven’t lost in the league since October so it won’t be an easy trip for the Hawks, despite being the only team in the top six levels of football to be unbeaten on the road.

In terms of team news, Josh Passley is suspended for two matches following an accumulation of yellow cards, but on the injury front, recovery is continuing as planned. Tommy Wright has completed his loan to AFC Totton in the week.

The last time we met Boro, it was on August Bank Holiday Monday. It was debatable who scored it but James Roberts curled an effort towards goal, it was parried but still destined for the net and McCarthy helped it over the line. The late finish was the difference and meant the Hawks finished August with 16 points out of a possible 18.
