The Hawks return to league action and will be looking to put their FA Cup disappointment behind them.Oxford City visit the Draper Tools Community Stadium, who have had a poor start to the season. The Hoops will be looking to turn their recent form around, with no wins in their last five matches. They currently sit in 14th, and come off the back of a draw with Tonbridge Angels. Their best result of the season, though, is taking points off the leaders Ebbsfleet who have only dropped those two points in this entire campaign so far.The Hawks, however, have a 100% league record at home and their most recent league match was a comfortable 2-0 win over Concord Rangers, which to be fair, should have been five or six. It will be the FA Cup defeat which is lingering in the minds though, a disappointing home defeat to rock bottom Weymouth sent them out of the cup in the Fourth Round Qualifying, narrowly missing out on the potential opportunity to play a Football League side. The last time the two sides met, it was a dark day for the Hawks. Clifford took the lead via a direct corner in the first half – a sublime goal. When it looked like the side were going to cruise to victory, three late goals for Oxford in the 84th, 87th and 91st meant the Hawks left with 0 points.Paul Doswell is hopeful more players will return to fitness over the next week to take part in the upcoming home clashes.
