The Hawks host St Albans City in a bid for both sides to turn around their poor form of late.

It was a disappointing draw for the Hawks on Saturday, as they were held by 20th Cheshunt. Everyone thought it might have been a coast to three points after Rooney volleyed the Hawks ahead within 5 minutes. It didn’t take long for Cheshunt to equalise, Sharman-Lowe denied the Ambers’ first strike, but he couldn’t stop Alexander from bundling home the rebound. The second half it was goalless despite chances to go ahead.

St Albans, following a brilliant run to push them into the playoffs, have stumbled recently. It was defeat again on Saturday at the hands of Hakan Hayrettin’s Dulwich Hamlet in his first game in charge. Super sub Ronnie Vint was the difference in the second half with a headed strike while the Saints were down to 10.

In terms of team news, Charlie Ruff will serve his final match of suspension, while Oastler is back. There were a few knocks among the squad on Saturday, with Passley only playing 45 minutes and Faal out with a hip injury.

The Hawks haven’t actually come up against St Albans yet this season, with the away leg being pushed back twice – meaning we will face Noble’s men twice in two weeks. Last season, the Hawks took 0 points from both matches – maybe a somewhat of a bogey team for Dos.
