About the role
Havant & Waterlooville FC are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist / Sports Therapist to join the team as we enter 23-24 season in the Vanarama National League South.
This is a demanding job role in a fast-paced environment in the professional sports industry.
Main Duties
- Working within a Multi-Disciplinary Team
- Liaise with 1stTeam Coaches, and club Doctor, along with medical and performance staff in regard to player injuries.
- Risk profiling and injury prevention screening of individual players
- Provide preventative player care services
- Management of acute injuries
- Rehabilitation of long-term injuries
- Maintain medical records accurately.
- To attend all 1st team matches to provide pre, and post-match treatment.
- Undertake Continuous Professional Development
- Accompanying players to medical appointments as required
- Obligation to adhere to the club’s health and safety policy and procedures.
- As a member of staff to ensure in all matters you follow and actively promote the club’s equality policies and practices to ensure a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for everyone engaged with the club.
Key Competencies
- Experience of working with elite athletes
- Experience of working in a professional sports environment
- Experience of working in a professional / Semi Professional football environment (desirable)
- Knowledge of sound injury prevention strategies
- Knowledge of screening/profiling elite athletes
- IT Skills – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Self-motivated with an excellent work ethic
- A genuine team player
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Ability to work unsupervised
Qualifications Essential
- BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy/Sports Therapy
- MSci desirable
- CSP & HCPC registered
- FA ITTMIF Qualification or equivalent desirable
Salary
£24,000 – £26,000
