We’re Recruiting for an experienced Duty Manager for The Westleigh Pub
The ideal Duty Manager will have previous wet-led bar management experience along with a passion for the industry and ability to think creatively bringing new ideas to the table. A solid understanding of operations, be well-organised and show strong administration skills. Show strong leadership and communication skills and have a fun, hands-on and confident personality.
Duty Manager Responsibilities Include:
- Ensuring that all bar staff are following company policies
- Supervising bar staff in order to ensure that they are knowledgeable about all aspects of the bar and deliver exceptional customer service to customers
- Maintaining inventory of alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic mixers to ensure that all bar supplies are available when needed
- Preparing and serving alcoholic drinks
- Ensuring that all glassware, bar equipment and kitchen are clean and well-maintained at all times and compliant with Health & Safety and Hygiene policies and procedures.
- Handling customer complaints or concerns regarding service in a courteous manner
- Collecting payment for drinks at the time of service, or processing payment at the end of the shift if using a cash register system
- Assisting with the bar’s inventory by ordering stock directly from suppliers, receiving goods in, checking deliveries and liaising with accounts department
- Food ordering
- Managing the refusals log and keeping it up to date.
- Assisting and liaising SIA door staff for match days and events
- Events preparation for functions, bands and hospitality ensuring adequate staffing levels are achieved for each type of function
- Liaise with Sales and Events Manager
- Operate the company’s ‘Challenge 25’ policy at all times and ensure all staff are compliant
- Report maintenance issues to senior management
