Havant & Waterlooville will make the short trip to The City Ground on Tuesday evening as they face Winchester City in a preseason friendly.

With the 2019/20 season edging ever closer The Hawks can go into their penultimate preparation game full of confidence after a storming preseason campaign so far.

Coming off the back of a thrilling 2-0 win at home against National League side Sutton United The Hawks will hope they can continue their winning ways.

Three wins out of four so far this preseason, the only negative result coming in a tight 2-1 defeat to League One side Portsmouth means The Hawks have a lot to be proud of. The haul of new players this summer seems to be paying off thus far as the goals have been flying in and the defence has held solid.

The Citizens have also enjoyed a strong preseason having only lost one of their three clashes so far this month, showing that they won’t be easy to break down. Their most recent result coming on July 13th as they drew with Southampton FC.

The Hawks, however, will not be an easy side to stop having scored eight goals this month in only four games. Kenyan international Jonah Ayunga has had the Westleigh Park faithful on the edge of their seats having bagged himself a remarkable six goals.

The Hawks number 10 grabbed himself another two on July 20th against Sutton United as he showed his goal poacher instincts to convert both chances from close range.

Paul Doswell and his coaching staff will no doubt be hoping to get another win with The Hawks under their belts as the eyes start to focus on the first game of the National League South season against Welling United.

Nevertheless, before the season starts there is still two tough obstacles to overcome with The Hawks playing host to Eastleigh on July 27th in the last preseason game of the season.

Before The Hawks return home all eyes will be looking towards Tuesday nights match up with the visitors looking to give the travelling fans some more goals to celebrate.
