The Hawks visit Chippenham Town, which is the first of three successive away trips in all competition. We enter the match in fine form following a good 5-1 victory over Dulwich Hamlet at home. It was 2-0 within 15 minutes thanks to goals from Roberts and Faal. The Hamlet got one back but a penalty for the Hawks a minute later killed their momentum – Roberts converted. Both sides held each other at 3-1 for the next hour but a late brace forDanny Wright meant an emphatic 5-1 win, the first time Dulwich have ever conceded 5 in the National League South.Chippenham Town haven’t had the best run in league form, but have had an incredible FA Cup run. They did beat 13th placed League One side Lincoln City in the First Round Proper, yet haven’t had a win in the league since September. On Saturday, it was a trip to Dover for Chippenham and their first half goal from Tizzard was cancelled out five minutes before the end – Alfie Pavey on the scoresheet for Dover. The last time the two sides met was the final game of the National League South last year, in incredible circumstances. Chippenham needed to win away. The Hawks needed a draw. The prize? A place in the playoffs. I think most fans will remember, Chippenham were the victors. The last time we visited Hardenhuish Park was a disappointing 1-0 defeat. The Bluebirds got the six points last year, so the Hawks will be looking to improve. In terms of team news, Josh Passley had a knock for Saturday and was replaced by Benny Read so we will await to see how serious it is. Paul Rooney, Tommy Wright and Joash Nembhard are still out.The three points would send the Hawks into second, as would a draw – overtaking Dartford.
