The Hawks take a long Tuesday night journey to Taunton, as we hope to capitalise on The Peacock’s first home defeat in 525 days.

The Cygnet Health Care Stadium has become somewhat of a fortress in non-league, but St Albans punished Taunton on Saturday, a 1-0 away win for the Saints thanks to Tafari Moore who side-footed the side to three points.

The Hawks were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw to the Beavers. Mel Gwinnett’s first game in charge was a successful one, as Dean Inman nodded in an equaliser on the 87th minute, which cancelled out Roberts’ delightful free-kick. The Hawks came close to scoring in the first half, but the crossbar and a brilliant performance from Julian meant the points were shared.

In terms of team news, no injuries were sustained on Saturday’s clash so a similar 16-man squad will be named, and Josh Passley serves his final match of suspension.

The last time the two sides met, you would have to cast your mind back to 2019. It was a second qualifying round clash of the FA Cup and the Hawks were the victors – a 2-1 home win thanks to goals from Andy Drury and an own goal from Ben Addlesbury. Shane White scored a consolation for the visitors in the 92nd minute but that was all she wrote.

The Hawks go into the match unbeaten in their last three matches, and Paul Doswell will be hoping that continues.
